This week, we welcomed our new intern from York University, Nicole Kulova, who will be with us in Athens until July.
Nicole is a second-year Honours student in Political Science and Philosophy whose education in classics, philosophy, political theory, and history has inspired her interest in understanding how Greek ideas have shaped modernity.
She believes that gaining exposure to the everyday functioning of Athens and the Canadian Institute through seminars, lectures, engagement with scholars, and mundane duties will deepen her understanding of how culture, politics, and memory have been shaped by both the ancients and their investigators.
Nicole aims to apply what she learns to the latter half of her undergraduate studies and her pursuit of legal expertise in law school.
