The Canadian Institute in Greece has the pleasure to invite you to the 2026 Paris Arnopoulos Annual Lecture<\/strong><\/a>, an event which will make use of Classical Greek studies in the analysis of contemporary social phenomena and problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s event is entitled, \u201cAncient and modern approaches to Tyranny<\/em><\/strong> \u201d<\/strong>. Canadian and Greek experts will address issues concerning governance, democracy and tyranny and reflect on whether the Ancient Greeks\u2019 thoughts and actions are useful in the analysis and understanding of contemporary ways of governing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
